Stacey Skoretz, MSc, PhD, R.SLP, S-LP(C), CCC-SLP

Dr. Skoretz is an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Director of the Swallowing Innovations Lab (Si-Lab). She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta. Dr. Skoretz aims to improve health outcomes following dysphagia. Her research includes: understanding multi-system integration during swallowing, particularly following critical illness, effect of invasive and non-invasive ventilation on the upper aerodigestive tract, patient engagement, and linking research to practice through knowledge synthesis and translation. She is a 2020 recipient of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Scholar award – an award for exceptional early career researchers.
