The Parent Involvement in Intervention workshop was developed for pediatric rehabilitation clinicians to increase parent participation in intervention. Two months post workshop, clinicians completed a survey measuring the impact of workshop participation on subsequent clinical interventions. For each of 7 questions regarding different aspects of parental involvement, 83 to 100% of clinicians reported making positive changes in their interventions. All (100%) respondents reported that the workshop affected parental involvement in their interventions. The majority (83%) reported generally increased parent participation, with over half (61%) reporting that parents had commented on their increased participation. This effective workshop continues yearly at LLMRC.
