More Than Words® – The Hanen Program for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, teaches parents strategies to support their child’s social communication development. As a result of COVID-19, the virtual program that was in development was quickly launched as an online intervention. Our interview study engaged parents who recently participated in the program online to understand their experiences. Parents’ experiences learning and acquiring new skills, accessing the intervention and using technology, and engaging with their peers and speech-language pathologist will be presented. Results apply to the More Than Words® program but may also apply to similar virtual programs.
