School Age Stuttering Treatment: Involving Kids, Parents and School Staff

This interactive seminar will provide practical, fun and ready-to-use applications/activities for school-aged children who stutter. Activities will have a psychosocial focus to improve quality of life. Some of the activities will include setting individual/personal goals, accepting verbal diversity, building confidence in speaking situations, self-advocacy and building a therapy team within the student’s community. Each activity will be supported by, and will be presented alongside, a review of the most recent evidence-based research regarding effective treatment for children who stutter.
